Here’s a treat that’s not to be missed for all Eagles fans, The Eagles Story – Australia’s Premier Eagles Experience are bringing a mighty show to The Flying Saucer Club to celebrate one of the best-selling albums of all time ‘Hotel California’ this July. Be treated to five of Melbourne’s most in demand and respected musicians and vocalists, who have all the ingredients needed to replicate some of the greatest vocal arrangements and complex melodies ever produced. We will be performing the whole album in chronological order, followed by another set of Eagles classic hits. UNMISSABLE!

The Eagles legend began in California in 1971 with The Eagles Story tribute show being put together in Melbourne in 2010. The band features five of the city’s most in-demand and respected musicians and vocalists – Pete McCarthy, Gary Young, Ash Osgood, Cres Crisp and Steve Wells. Many of the band’s most famous hits will be featured including ‘One of These Nights’, ‘Lying Eyes’, ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ and ‘Hotel California’, just to name a few…get onto booking NOW!

Influenced by 1960’s rhythm and blues, soul, bluegrass, and rock bands such as the Byrds and Buffalo Springfield, the Eagles’ overall sound has been described as “California rock.” In the words of Sal Manna, author of the CD liner notes of the band’s 1994 album Hell Freezes Over, “no one knew quite what ‘California rock’ meant – except perhaps that, because in California anything was possible, music that came from that promising land was more free-spirited and free-ranging.” Rolling Stone described the Eagles’ sound as “country-tinged vocal harmonies, with hard rock guitars and lyrics.” Hope you’ll join The Eagles Story on our return to Rosebud RSL for some of those country-tinged harmonies & certainly plenty of guitar!

Alexandra Town Hall Concert series brings The Eagles Story – Australia’s Premier Eagles Show this coming June. The Alexandra Town Hall stands proudly in Grant Street and is a true monument to the history of the Alexandra township. The hall includes various honour rolls created to commemorate the sacrifices of the people of the local district who have offered service to their Country. Centrally located the hall offers easy access to patrons and visitors and is used regularly by large groups for celebrations and information sharing.
